Written and recorded during the COVID lockdown (in Debórah's own words, the intense isolation that quarantine brought about, opened a creative portal for her to reflect and to write and record), the album explores self awareness, new love/intimacy, & circumstances of the world around her. Focusing on the raw, gritty, more edgy parts of Deborah's life, she decided to create and record the project in her home, allowing her “inner compass” to lead her to a new tribe of musicians/collaborators, including executive producer and bassist Brandon Lane, DJ Harrison (Butcher Brown), and saxophonist/producer Trey Sorrells. Key appearances include, Grammy Nominated drummer Nate Smith, Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Gordon Chambers, and world-class jazz drummer Corey Fonville.
The result is an honest, beautifully crafted collection of songs reflecting a new artistic exploration and conveying the message that life changes, but the music is constant and will always live on.
